Not everyone wants rapids. On calmer stretches of the Kali, many resorts and operators offer kayaking and rides in coracles — round, bowl-shaped boats traditional to Karnataka’s rivers. They’re a gentle way to see the riverbanks and birdlife, and are popular with families.
