Dandeli is a small town in Uttara Kannada district, on the Kali River in the Western Ghats. It has no railway station or airport of its own, so most visitors arrive by road for the last stretch.
By road
Dandeli is roughly 460 km from Bengaluru, usually an 8–10 hour drive via Tumakuru, Chitradurga, Davanagere, Hubballi and Dharwad, then Haliyal. From Goa it is around 120–130 km, and from Hubballi about 75 km. Overnight state-run and private buses run from Bengaluru and other cities.
By train
The closest stations are Alnavar Junction (about 32 km) and Londa Junction (about 35 km). Hubballi Junction (about 75 km) and Dharwad have more train options. Taxis and buses connect these stations with Dandeli.
By air
The nearest airport is Hubballi (HBX), roughly 70–80 km away. Belagavi (IXG), about 90 km away, and the two Goa airports (Dabolim and Mopa, about 130–140 km) are other options.
